The Elven Lords Blogger Hop + Contest to win the Elven Lords series

Today I taking part in the Elven Lords Blogger Hop and I am hosting the realm of Verdanthame. Author Katryne Kennedy has picked a few excerpts to show what this part of England looks like in her Elven Lord series. Get know this Elven realm, and take part in the contest for a chance to win all the books.
Ruled by seven dangerously powerful Elven Lords, who use the Kind as a pawn in their wars and games, the rebellion of humans and half-breeds (half elven, half human) have joined forces and risked their lives to try to defeat the treacherous rule the Elven Lords have over their homes. In each book in this series—The Fire Lord’s Lover, The Lady of the Storm and The Lord of Illusion—brave men and women sacrifice almost everything for the rebellion… but they also fall in love along the way!

Verdanthame
The sovereignty of Mi’cal of the green scepter, who transforms plants and trees into beautiful creations with often-deadly intent. His throne is a stump of tree carved with depictions of hunting scenes, and the great hall’s pillars are tree trunks. Vines sway from the high ceiling, white moss flowing down from them like scarves of delicate lace. The court dresses in browns and greens, blending with the plants that grow from the walls and edges of the rooms. The palace itself is perched within an enormous tree, the walls of stone so covered with green moss that it appears to be some odd growth of the tree itself.
Excerpts featuring Verdanthame, from the Elven Lords Series by Kathryne Kennedy:
The land:
“Now, if we were entering a forest in the sovereignty of Verdanthame, that would be another adventure! The elven lord of the green scepter has twisted and shaped his woods beyond human imagining.”
***
The eastern sovereignty, where Mi’cal ruled with his green scepter, sported tracks of barely impenetrable forests with a wealth of plants that defied description.
***
From their vantage point, he could tell that Breden’s water magic struck at both Firehame and Verdanthame from the sea on the south and east. Waves jetted in the air, a blue haze off in the distance. Verdanthame Palace lay too far away to see if it still withstood the siege, but Drystan could see a wall of seething green off to his left, an occasional crack of brown running through it as Annanor of Terrahame used her power of earth to break through Dorian’s verdant defenses. It appeared that the half-breed still managed to hold his territory against the elven lady.
The magic:
Dorian tried his green scepter, calling up hibernating roots from beneath the snow, weaving them together to form another wall behind the first two.
The dragons:
She had heard the dragons of the six other sovereignties had different powers associated with their elven lords: the black dragon of Firehame could breathe fire; the blue dragon of Dewhame, lightning; the green dragon of Verdanthame could breathe a mist that grew tangled briars and enormous trees. The silver dragon of Bladehame spat molten metal, the brown dragon of Terrahame emitted a roar that cracked the earth, and the violet dragon of Stonehame could turn anything to stone with his breath.
Question for readers to answer to enter the contest:
What is your favorite type of plant (flower, tree, etc.)?
